The Traverse City Wine & Art Festival will take place on Saturday, August 21at the
Grand Traverse Commons in front of Building 50 in a secured festival lawn setting. The
festival is being organized by the Leelanau Peninsula Vintners Association as a
celebration of wine, food and culture of northwest lower Michigan and Michigan's wine
coast. The evening will feature wines from 25 wineries from the Leelanau and Old
Mission Peninsulas, food vendors, and a stage with live entertainment. Located at 1200

Peshawbestown Traditional Pow Wow
Peshawbestown Pow Wow Grounds, Suttons Bay
The Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians hold their annual pow wow,
featuring native singers, dancers, artists, artisans and food booths. Events are held on the
Pow Wow Grounds on the tribe’s Peshawbestown reservation four miles north of Suttons
Bay off M-22. The Pow Wow Grounds are located in the Eagle Valley complex off
McKeese Road.
