Destination Syracuse Showcase at Destiny USA Destination Syracuse Showcase at Destiny USA to Highlight Abundance of Visitor Friendly Attractions throughout Upstate New York
BigTravelNews.info - Jul 31,2012 - In celebration of the rebranding of Carousel Center into Destiny USA happening Thursday, Aug. 2- Monday, Aug. 6, the Syracuse Convention & Visitors Bureau (SCVB) in partnership with Destiny USA, is pleased to announce details regarding Destination Syracuse Showcase. The mini-tradeshow will take place Friday Aug. 3 from 12 p.m. - 4 p.m. in the Canyon area of Destiny USA and will feature visitor friendly attractions from Upstate New York on display for Destiny USA patrons to learn about.
“The transformation from Carousel Center to Destiny USA will not only give our area residents new and exciting places to shop, dine and be entertained but will also draw in new visitors from Canada, New York State and the surrounding states,” said SCVB President David Holder. “We not only want to bring these visitors to Destiny USA, but would love them to experience all of what Upstate New York has to offer.”
“It is going to be an exciting weekend with tons of events and activities. The Destination Syracuse Showcase is a must-see,” David Aitken stated. “We are thrilled to be part of this showcase and to show the region what we have to offer here in Syracuse.”
The SCVB recently distributed an invitation to participate in the Destination Syracuse Showcase via email to industry partners located throughout Upstate New York. To date, nearly 20 tourist attractions have committed to participate in the Destination Showcase and include: Syracuse Convention & Visitors Bureau, Syracuse Stage, Four Seasons Golf & Ski Center, Rosamond Gifford Zoo at Burnet Park, Onondaga Historical Association Museum, Mid-Lakes Navigation, Museum at the Shacksboro School House, Erie Canal Museum, Skaneateles Chamber of Commerce, Woodmansee Farm Llamas, Stickley Museum, Oswego County Tourism, Madison County Tourism, Oneida County Tourism, Visit Rochester, Red House Art Center, Camillus Erie Canal Park, and Labrador Mountain Ski Center.
Additional Upstate New York tourist attractions are welcome to participate in the showcase, but must pre-register by Wed., Aug. 1 by contacting the SCVB at LWoodrow@VisitSyracuse.org.
