Top Airports For Easter Treats To brighten up your day airports are looking at distributing chocolate Easter eggs, chocolate Easter bunnies and other small gifts over the holiday period.
BigTravelNews.info - Apr 03,2012 - There’s nothing worse than being on a long flight over Easter and being stuck at the airport for hours before takeoff. Kids aren’t the only ones who enjoy a chocolate feast over this period, in fact I quite like the idea of hunting for Easter eggs and getting a sweet treat or two in over the Easter holidays too.
To brighten up your day airports are looking at distributing chocolate Easter eggs, chocolate Easter bunnies and other small gifts over the holiday period.
Heathrow Airport
To ensure everyone’s Easter journey gets off to smooth start, additional staff will be on-hand to help passengers, while dedicated family lanes and pre-flight play areas will cater for the thousands of families flying this holiday. There will be special appearances by Peter Rabbit, chocolate Easter treats and activity books plus Kids Eat Free deals in many of Heathrow’s restaurants.
Normand Boivin, Chief Operating Officer at Heathrow says: “The Easter holidays are a busy time for Heathrow as families, friends and couples make the most of the four day bank holiday weekend to get away. This coming Easter, like any other day, we aim at making the journeys of the millions of passengers who will pass via Heathrow better and ensure their experience of Heathrow is a positive one.”
*Heathrow is preparing for its busiest seven days of the year so far, with more than 1.6 million passengers expected to pass through its doors in the first week of the Easter school holidays alone (Friday 30 March to Friday 6 April).
Frankfurt Airport
The Frankfurt Airport will be looking at brightening up your day at the airport over Easter with a Easter-Event on the 7th and the 8th of April. Within the service program “Great to have you here”, which was launched in 2010 to increase passengers’ satisfaction, they’ve got a Project called “Happy Moments”. Expect to be surprised and treated to small small gifts as part of the activation all in a bid to to put smiles on the faces of you, their guests. Almost half a million of these small gifts had been handed out in 2011!
Don’t be startled if you see one of 6 “Easter-Bunnies” walking through the Terminal facilities to distribute small chocolate bars over the Easter holidays. These 6 bunnies will be placed all over the Airport so that passengers in the public and the transit area will have the chance to meet them.
Sydney Airport
Sydney Airport will be feeding that sweet tooth this Easter. So if you’re a frequent flyer in need of a ‘fix’ you may just get it. The Easter bunny will be handing out chocolate eggs to passengers at Terminal one and Terminal two from Easter Thursday through to Easter Sunday.
