Called Liberty Travel’s Best Engagement Story EVER Video Contest, the competition has been open for entries less than two full weeks and has already garnered nearly a dozen entries. The entries feature everything from sky diving and proposals via the jumbo screen at Yankee Stadium, to flash mobs, movie trailers and a cover of a Bruce Springsteen song.
Voting is off to quite a start as well. More than 700 visitors have cast their vote for their favorite video. The leading entry so far is “Jude and Julianne’s Proposal,” which features a casual stroll in a garden square that turns into a proposal that takes the bride-to-be by surprise when a group of the couple’s friends appear and a choreographed song and dance number proposal.
To enter the contest, couples can visit libertytravel.com/contest and click on the link for the Best Engagement Story EVER Video Contest. The link will take them to the official contest page, where they will be presented with instructions on how to enter.
Couples are invited to be as creative as they want with their video, and are welcome to use any style of filmmaking to tell their story. Stories can be funny, sad, romantic, inspiring, and can be from couples who are recently engaged as well as couples who are already married. The recommended length of a video is three minutes. When a couple’s video is ready to go, it can be uploaded the contest site, where visitors will be able to watch it and vote. Couples who enter are encouraged to promote their entries, and invite friends, family, coworkers and acquaintances to visit the contest page and vote.
The top three winners will receive a 4-day/3-night Luxury Included® vacation for two at a Sandals Resort, on one of three islands: Antigua, St. Lucia and Jamaica. (The first place winner will have first choice of which island they want to visit. The second place winner will get second choice. And the third place winner will receive the remaining prize.)
